Home Visitors are a group of Eucharistic Ministers, men and women, who visit the sick and the homebound within the parish and bring Communion to them.
Their Commission: To care for the faithful who are ill or infirm and through illness or infirmity unable to take their accustomed place in the Eucharistic community. In bringing Communion to them, the Home Visitors represent Christ, manifesting faith and charity on behalf of the whole community toward those who cannot be present at the Eucharist. For the sick, the reception of Communion is not only a privilege but also a sign of support and concern shown by the St. Vincent de Paul community for our members who are ill.
If you would like to explore participating in this ministry, please call the rectory and speak to the pastor; 415 922.1010.
“The faithful know and receive the Body of Christ
if they labor to be the body of Christ;
and they become the body of Christ
if they live by the Spirit of Christ:
for those who live by the Spirit of Christ are the body of Christ.”
—St. Augustine
